Rama 4

The Rama 4 neighborhood, stretching from Rama 4 Junction to Witthayu Junction, including Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, is served by MRT (subway) Lumphini, Khlong Toei and Queen Sirikit National Convention Center Stations. Residents are mostly working Thais.

Local condominium projects average THB 190,000–220,000 per square meter. Significant current projects under development are:

  • Siamese Exclusive Queens, expected to open in 2019, starting at THB 6.9 million
  • IDEO Mobi Rama 4, expected to open in 2020, THB 6.5–28.4 million
  • One Bangkok, phased opening in 2022, including five office towers, five luxury hotels, three ultra-luxury residential towers, retail areas and cultural spaces
  • Samyan Mitrtown, including an office tower, shopping mall, and hotel and residential tower.

Several mid to high-end hotels are located in the area, including Modena by Fraser, Pinnacle Lumpinee Park, AETAS Lumpini, SO Sofitel Bangkok and Baan K Residence by Bliston.

El Mercado (“The Chef's Market”) is an excellent source of gourmet foods. Khlong Toei Market offers a vast array of fresh foods. Nearby are Tesco Lotus Extra, Big C Extra and K Village.

Neighborhood dining options include Baan, The Corner, Sia Duck Noodle and Issaya Siamese Club (Thai), Chandr Pen, Sun Moon Kiew Muang Jeen and An An Lao (Chinese), Fufu Shabu (Taiwanese), Il Fumo and 3nvy (Italian), Lido Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria (pizza), Vivarium by Chefs Ministry (Asian fusion), Healthy Twist (vegetarian) and Vietnamese and More.

Most local nightlife centers around Surawong Road and Patpong near MRT Silom. For something closer to home, try Seasoning or Black Sheep Sweet Dream, cozy restaurant bars with live music.

Benjakitti Park includes a lake, an outdoor exercise area, a cycling track and a path for walkers and joggers. Nearby is Lumpini Park. Flow House is an artificial surfing park for all ages. Funarium provides a large indoor playground, arts & crafts activities and a cafe. Yunomori Onsen and Spa is an authentic Japanese onsen and spa.

Churches in the area include the Evangelical Church of Bangkok, Calvary Baptist Church, Holy Redeemer (Catholic) Church, Immanuel Lutheran Church and Bangkok International United Pentecostal Church.

Neighborhood and nearby schools are Khlong Toei Wittaya School, Suan Lumpini School, Sacred Heart Convent School, Wattana Wittaya School, Prasarnmit Demonstration School, Sai Nampueng School, Sai Namthip School, Chulalongkorn University and Srinakharinwirot University.

Main local hospitals are BNH Hospital and Medical Center, Bangkok Christian Hospital and Chulalongkorn Hospital. Nearby are Tha Ruea Hospital and Theptarin Hospital.
