Areeya Property

Areeya Property Public Company Limited is a Thailand residential property developer of detached housing estates, townhouses and condominiums in the greater Bangkok area, generally in the mid-range market. The company has also developed two community malls. Founded by the Laohapoonrungsee family in 2000, Areeya was listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand in 2004.

As at the end of 2017, the company had 62 completed or launched residential projects and two commercial projects, including The AVA Residence, several Areeya Metro, Areeya Como and The Village / The Village Cottage detached housing estates, numerous The Colors two-storey townhouses, Areeya Brigg three-storey combination residential / office townhouses, A Space I.D., A Space Mega and A Space Me high-rise condominiums, and  the Japanese-inspired Chalermnit Art De Maison luxury low-rise condominiums.  Commercial projects include Pickadaily Bangkok and Areeya Lifestyle Club. Fourteen new residential projects were announced for 2018.

Mr. Wisit Laohapoonrungsee is Board Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Other primary directors are Mr. Viwat Lauhapoonrungsi, Mrs. Niphapat Romerattanaphun and Mr. Thun Thiansuwan. Company consultants include National Reform Steering Assembly member and former Surin and Amnat-Chareon Provincial Governor Vichien Chavalit, Dr. Thanong Bidaya, Dr. Virapongsa Ramangkura and Mr. Chumpolpat Puldrapaya.

Total 2017 revenue was THB 5.057 billion, a 7.1 percent increase over 2016. Of that amount, condominium sales totaled THB 4.246 billion. Net profits declined from THB 263.3 million in 2016 to THB 97.7 million in 2017, primarily because of changes in business practices affecting the reporting of new sales. Total assets at the end of 2017 were THB 13.51 billion, and company shares traded in a 52-week range of THB 6.40 – 6.75. Earnings per share were THB 0.10 in 2017, versus THB 0.27 in 2016. Tris Rating rated Areeya Property at BB+ / Stable in 2016.
